How to Download e-Aadhaar Card in Online?
What is Aadhaar Card?
Aadhaar Card is a 12 digit random number provided by UIDAI(Unique Identification Authority of India) for the residents of India. Aadhaar is mandatory for each Indian resident, irrespective of age, gender. From Birth to Death, Aadhaar acts a major proof, it can be used as a proof for followings.

Different ways you can download the e-Aadhaar card
- Download Aadhaar Using your Aadhaar Number.
- Download Aadhaar Using Enrolment Number.
- You can also Download Masked Aadhaar Card.
Download e-Aadhaar Using e-Aadhaar Number
- Open any of Your favourite Browser.
- Enter Your 12 Digit Aadhaar Number.
- Enter the Captcha, Shown on the Screen.
- Click Send OTP Button.
- A 6 digit OTP number is sent to your, Registered Mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and take a Quick Survey.
- Click"Verify And Download" Button below to download your Aadhaar Card.
- To access your Downloaded Aadhaar Card, it asks you to enter the Password.
- Password for your Aadhaar Card is "First Four Letters of your Name in "CAPITAL LETTERS"+" Year of Birth".
- For example, if your Name is "ABCDEFGH" and your year of Birth is "1979", then the Password is "ABCD1979".
What is Enrolment Number?
When you enrol(or)apply for an Aadhaar Card, an Acknowledgement slip is given. At the top of the slip, it contains 14 digit enrolment ID number(XXXX/XXXX/XXXX) and 14 digit date and time(dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss), forms a 28 digit enrolment ID.
Download e-Aadhaar using Enrolment Number
- Open any of Your favourite Browser.
- choose Enrolment ID(EID) under "I have".
- Enter the 14 digit Enrolment ID(EID) and 14 digit Date-time stamp
- Enter the Captcha, Shown on the Screen.
- Click Send OTP Button.
- A 6 digit OTP number is sent to your, Registered Mobile number.
- Enter the OTP and take a Quick Survey.
- Click "Verify And Download" Button below to download your Aadhaar Card.

What is Masked Aadhaar?
Are you worried about the security of your Aadhaar data.you will find a small checkbox "I want a masked Aadhaar?", while downloading your e-Aadhaar using any of the above methods.
Masked Aadhaar is nothing, that option allows you to mask (or) hide your first eight digits of the Aadhaar number by replacing some characters like "XXXX XXXX" and the last four digits of the Aadhaar number is visible.

Why Masked Aadhaar?
This feature can be used, wherever you don't want to share your Aadhaar number. Masked Aadhaar can be used for eKYC, where sharing Aadhaar number is not necessary. When you download this kind of Aadhaar, all other pieces of information like photo, QR code, etc.. still present. It cannot be used in all places.

- visit the page https://resident.uidai.gov.in/verify
- Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar Number (UID).
- Type the Character you see in the Picture for Captcha Verification.
- Click Proceed to verify.
- It will direct you to the page like below, showing a message
Aadhaar Number XXXXXXXXXXXX Exists!
