WhatsApp testing a new upload media as a status update feature
WhatsApp testing a new upload media as a status update feature. WhatsApp allows us to communicate with our loved ones, friends, and family, but that is all it is. WhatsApp is a kind of app whose sole purpose is to connect people through chats, audio, or video calls. But, throughout the years, we've seen WhatsApp try to adapt to itself and is continuously trying to come up with new features that will give it that wow factor.
It has been observed that WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will allow users to transfer media as status updates. This means that when you share photos or videos with someone, you will now have the choice to set it as your status and even decide who can receive that picture, similar to how it is done on Instagram.

WhatsApp will have a setting that allows users to select different recipients or to alter their status while sharing a photo or video in a chat. This feature allows users to effortlessly change their status while sharing any media that they want to share with their friends individually.
This month, WhatsApp released a beta version of its Android app that allows users to select the recipients of a status update before uploading any images. This feature would allow individuals to specify who can and cannot see their status. They were also seen testing another edit recipient feature, which would allow the user to choose or remove people from their contact list who would receive certain photographs or videos. Although this was meant to be included in the most recent Android beta update, it never made it to the testing stage.
This edit recipient update would be produced for both iOS and Android. However, there is currently no timeline for when this feature will be released to their users.
