Step 1 - Go to Sign in Page of Gmail
- Open any of your Favourite Browsers (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Opera,..)
- Type the URL "www.gmail.com", it will direct you to the page like below.
- Click the sign-in option available on the above page, it will direct you to a page like below.
Step 2 - Try to Enter the Last remembered Password
- Enter your email id(or) phone number linked with the email id in the box and click Next.
- Click Forgot Password?.
- It asks you to enter the last password you remembered, try the password you remembered, otherwise Click on Try another way.
Step 3 - To verify, you are trying to change the Password !.
- If your Gmail account is logged in any of your smartphones, you can follow the steps below, otherwise jump to step 4.
- It shows a notification to confirm that you are trying to change a password.
- click yes, on your smartphone to proceed.
- It will ask you to select a number (or)character on your Smartphone, which is displayed on another device.
- Then it will allow you to create a new password.
Step 4 - Phone number and email verification Using OTP
- Click try another way, it will ask you to enter the Phone number linked with your email id.
- It displays the last two digits of the phone number, linked with an account.
- A one-time password(OTP) is sent to a phone number, enter your one Time Password(OTP), to create a new password to an account.
- If you don't have a phone within your hand, click "I don't have my phone"
- It will ask you to enter the recovery email linked with the Gmail account.
Step 5 - Use another mail id to recover the password
- If you don't remember your recovery phone number (or) email id linked with your Gmail account.
- It will ask you for some working email account, then google will contact you regarding this recovery of email account through it.
